Seven-Letter Word Game
Seven letters give you plenty of clues on every guess, and plenty of ways to go wrong. Find the hidden seven-letter word in six tries, then play again whenever you like.
The colors work as usual: green is the right letter in the right spot, orange is in the word but elsewhere, and gray is not in the word.
Tips for Seven-Letter Words
- Think in chunks Long words are built from familiar pieces: pairs like TH, CH, ST and NG, and endings like -ION, -ENT or -URE, as in STATION, PATIENT and PICTURE. Spot one and the rest falls into place.
- Spread your vowels Most seven-letter words have two or three vowels. Test them early, then use the colors to see where they sit.
- Use guesses to learn Your second guess doesn't have to fit everything you know. Seven new letters often tell you more than a near miss.
- Answers are base words No plurals and no verb forms like STARTED, so you can rule those out.
